Axson is happy to be the North American distributor of MK Technology vacuum casting equipment.

MK Product Line
Plastic Vacuum Casting
Rapid Prototyping is a quite new technology for the fast production of single plastic parts that are functioning and close or identical to parts made in series.

The vacuum casting is one branch of this new technology. Based on a master model, which has been produced by one of the new generative technologies or in a conventional way, a silicone mold is built. Then the silicone mold is filled with a polyurethane resin under vacuum.

Approx. 50 plastic prototypes can be built with this mold instead of complicated and expensive steel molds. The final part cannot be distinguished from conventional serial plastic parts and enables a fast check of fit, form and function.

MK Technology produces vacuum chambers in different versions and sizes. They have the following advantages.
1.) Solid construction, steel wall thickness up to 20 mm, door thickness 40 mm
2.) Reusable cups and funnels
3.) Electronic differential pressure system
4.) Precise pre-selection of pressure by go-to function
5.) Easy program memory
6.) Time saving by automatic silicone de-gassing
7.) Perfect visibility through large glass doors and transparent cups
8.) Chamber and components: Made in Germany

    PRESS RELEASE
Axson North America, Eaton Rapids, Michigan
APF Light and PMF Polyester Fillers
Axson North America, Inc. announces two NEW polyester filler range products. APF Light and PMF (Patternmakers Filler) exceed the high quality standard customers expect from Axson.
APF Light is a light thin-film coating for molds, patterns and repair applications. APF Light is ideal for use as a skim and final preparation coating prior to painting. The filler properties are desirable for repair in body and marine shops for fairing and coating prior to the finish coating.
PMF is designed for the patternmaker to fill voids, repair over cuts and design changes to molds and patterns. PMF mixes to a smooth consistency, spreads evenly and cures to a hardness allowing for high quality finishing.

For more information on the NEW APF Light and PMF and all other quality polyester fillers, prototyping polyurethane and epoxy resin systems, please contact us at 800-365-8191 or at info@axson-na.com.
